Select several messages to delete - shift and ctrl don't seem to work. Junk folder issue, too.
I am new to Thunderbird, and use a POP server setup.
I get a huge amount of spam, and want to select several messages to delete together. I've read that I can use shift and hold to select a block, or ctrl to select several individual messages, but it doesn't seem to work. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Also, after training the spam filter, messages seem to be correctly identified as junk, but remain in the inbox. I thought I'd set up to move junk to junk folder, but it doesn't seem to exist! I thought it appeared automatically once something was declared as junk. Do I need to set anything else?
Thanks

No idea what you are doing wrong. Those selection shortcuts have worked since the beginning of Windows and still do. Here are the Microsoft instructions. https://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/windows_fcab_select_files.mspx?mfr=true

Thanks, Guys! Didn't realise that alt to select was a Windows OS setting. I needed to Reset Folders to get it to work. And junk folder, I'd set in one place but not the other. All fine now Great forum!
